Awards

Sub-Arena Sandwich Shop in Fort Madison was established in 1983. And ever since, Jacqueline Lumen has been collecting awards. There really are too many to list, but here are a few:

• In the Best of S.E. Iowa competition held by the Hawkeye newspaper, Sub-Arena has taken “Best Sub Sandwich,” “Best Fast Food,” “Best Lunch” and “Best Non-alcoholic Drinks” in the Fort Madison division year after year. In addition, SubArena was selected as the “Best of the Best” in the Fast Food division in 2018.
• Sub-Arena won the “Taste of the Tri-State,” awarded by WGEM-TV out of Quincy.
• Sub-Arena was recognized as the “Small Business of the Year” by the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce in 2016.
• Iowa Gallivant awarded Sub-Arena the “Gallivanter’s Choice” Award for being Iowa’s Favorite
  Sandwich in 2017.
